Objective
- Produce a waterproof, durable enclosure for the Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller.
Solution
- MME designed and built the tooling for the enclosure, and also helped engineer the internal gasket to find the right durometer, fit and set.
- Simplified the assembly by consolidating the operation at the end of the molding conveyor, rather than a separate line.
Results
- MME is molding and assembling over 65,000 of the enclosures per year.
