MME Group Expands Liquid Injection Molding (Silicone) Capabilities

As part of MME Group’s never-ending drive to exceed our customers’ expectations and expand our capabilities, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our Liquid Injection Molding (silicone) capabilities. Within the next two weeks, MME Group will be installing a second LIM machine to meet our customers’ development and production needs.

Our new press was purchased specifically to obtain increased process control for the many smaller components that our customers are demanding. With a 60-ton clamp, extended daylight and a 1.6-oz. shot size, our new Engel machine will pick up where our current 165 ton Engel leaves off. This combination of top-quality machines gives MME Group one of the broadest ranges of silicone capability in the Midwest. Whether you have a small, intricate overmold application or a large, thick part—MME Group has you covered!

MME Group is dedicated to meeting our customers’ needs for silicone molding. Future plans call for further augmenting our capability in this area with additional presses that overlap the ranges between our new and current machines—resulting in additional capacity in the size ranges that our customers require.

We are very excited about this new addition to our fleet and look forward to expanding the services we provide to our existing and new customers in the Liquid Injection Molding arena.
