The Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC) honored MME group with the 2015 VHEDC Business Achievement Award for the ability to thrive and support the local economy, and for excellent in our industry.

The VHEDC is a private non-profit organization made up of investing businesses since 1984. Its mission is to enhance economic development in the City of Vadnais Heights and the surrounding areas through the attraction, retention, and expansion of existing businesses and industries.

On Thursday, November 5, 2015, MME group and other nominees attended a prestigious dinner and awards ceremony at the Vadnais Heights Commons. To be eligible for the award, the VHEDC requires businesses to demonstrate a strong commitment to social responsibility and exemplify strong community involvement. We demonstrated our efforts by supporting volunteerism and investing in our employees.

During the past few years, we’ve weaved community engagement and employees success into the company’s strategic plans. We invest in our employees’ professional development for their long-term success; employees are provided continuing education to enhance their skills. We provide internal training opportunities, as well as industry-specific education in partnership with a local community college. Community involvement is encourage through paid time off volunteering – employees have logged more than 100 hours in 2015.
